Road Accidents, No Win No Fee, Car Batteries, Tyres And Eternity Rings
- Department of Transport statistics show that road accident incidents fell last year by around 4%, but that the figures still do not compare favorably to other European countries. The primary contributing factors to road accidents are said to be failing to look properly whilst driving, exceeding the speed limit, driving too fast for the conditions and drink driving. It was noted that not all road accidents get reported and that even those involved who do report an accident often fail to claim for compensation when they may be due it because of the negligence of the other party. - No win no fee claims have become more common these days because legal aid is no longer available for personal injury claims. Without the availability of no win no fee agreements, many people would not be able to afford to hire a solicitor to help them with their claim, and without a solicitor they would have very little chance of winning their case. Whilst the no win no fee approach is not the right solution for everyone, it is often the best course of action. Not all of these agreements are the same though, so it is important to discuss exactly who will be liable for what costs and under what circumstances. Next – No Win No Fee
- People might think that with improved technology making them equipped to provide more power, that car batteries would last longer now than ever before. However, cars these days are more powerful and there are various contraptions added to cars that were not around in the past. The result is that today’s car batteries only last around as long as they did 10 years ago, which is typically 5-6 years. Having battery operated parts of the car turned on when the engine is not running will shorten that time span, however, it can also be prolonged with proper usage and good maintenance. - Motorists are being urged to check their car tyres on a more regular basis. The recommended time between checks is a week at most. Incorrect tyre pressure, which should be checked when a tyre is cold, will affect how a vehicle handles. It can also result in tyres overheating and bursting, which even at slow speeds can cause a fatal accident. When checking, motorists must also look for cracks, bulges, objects caught in the tread and how deep the tread is. By law, the depth of a tyre tread must be at least 1.6mm across the breath of the tread and around the circumference. Next – Cheap Tyres
- Sales of eternity rings have been rising in recent years, with the increased popularity being put down to the facts that they are suitable for many occasions and that they are not as expensive as other types of rings, such as those for engagements or weddings. The most popular reason that men gave for purchasing one was to give to their partner on the birth of a child or a special anniversary. Unlike most types of jewelry, it is the sentiment – eternal love – that matters most with eternity rings, and not how beautiful the item is or how much it cost. Next – Eternity Rings
